Silobration 2026 Adds a Sunday Downtown Waco Isn't Used To

Walk down Webster Avenue on a Sunday morning any other week of the year and you'll find the door at Magnolia Market locked, the sidewalk outside Silos Baking Co. empty, and maybe one dog walker cutting through toward Austin Avenue. It's the quiet end of the block's weekly rhythm, the one morning when the Silos go still and downtown belongs to whoever lives close enough to have it to themselves.

This year that morning doesn't stay quiet. For the first time in Silobration's eleven-year run, Magnolia is extending its annual homecoming weekend to include Sunday, giving the event a kind of close the previous ten years never had.

Eleven Years of Three Days, Then a Fourth

Silobration has always run Thursday through Saturday. The 2025 edition, Magnolia's tenth, followed that pattern and pulled its biggest crowd yet, more than 30,000 guests over the three days. This year's event, announced by Magnolia in June, keeps the Thursday start but pushes the close to Sunday, October 25, making 2026 the first time the celebration has stretched across four days. Organizers are also calling it the largest Silobration to date, with more than 90 vendors setting up around the Silos, up from the roughly 80 who showed up in 2025.

The headliner lineup reflects the bigger footprint too. The Fray and Dylan Gossett anchor the main concert dates, and Christian musician Cory Asbury closes things out. That closing slot is the detail that matters if you live nearby: Asbury's set isn't a fourth full day of programming. Magnolia is billing it as a special Sunday morning gathering, a smaller, quieter bookend rather than a repeat of the Thursday-through-Saturday slate.

Why the Fourth Day Isn't Just More of the Same

That distinction is worth sitting with. A straight fourth day of vendor booths and evening concerts would be a simple scaling problem, more people, more parking pressure, more noise, spread across one additional 12-hour stretch. What Magnolia actually built is narrower than that. The vendor fair and daytime stage programming that run 9 a.m. to 5 or 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday give way, on Sunday, to a morning-only gathering built around one performer.

For a downtown resident, that means Sunday won't carry the same weight as the three days before it. But it also means the assumption that Sunday is automatically the safe morning to run errands near the Silos doesn't hold this particular week. If you're used to timing a coffee run or a walk down Webster for the one morning nothing is happening there, October 25 breaks that pattern for the first time since Magnolia opened its doors.

What That Means If You Live Within Walking Distance

Magnolia has never had onsite parking at the Silos, and that hasn't changed for 2026. The event's own guidance points guests toward downtown Waco's existing free lots and street parking, the same supply everyone else downtown is drawing from that weekend. In past years, road closures have clustered tightly around Webster Avenue and the cross streets immediately flanking the Silos property at 601 Webster, which is the corridor to plan around if you're driving rather than walking.

If you're a few blocks off that corridor, the weekend looks different. Union Hall's food stalls on Franklin Avenue, Red Herring inside Hotel Herringbone on South Fourth Street, and Milo All Day, also on Franklin, all sit close enough for an easy walk but far enough from Webster to avoid most of the congestion. None of them are inside the footprint the vendor fair and stage programming actually occupy. If your Sunday routine usually includes brunch or coffee somewhere in that stretch, none of it requires crossing through the part of downtown that's busiest that weekend.

The Free Stuff and the Stuff You Book Ahead

Silobration's daytime core stays free, which is worth separating from the add-ons that require a ticket:

  • Free: the vendor fair, daytime live music on the Silos Stage, and a beginner-friendly line dancing session on the Silos Lawn
  • Ticketed: Rooftop Lounge access for a view over the grounds, the Inside Magnolia property tour, a Pressed Floral Art Workshop, a guided Stronger at the Silos workout led by trainer Don Saladino, and the evening headliner concerts

The free portion is what fills the sidewalks during the day. The ticketed portion, especially the evening concerts, is what tends to shape parking demand and street closures after dark. If your plans for the weekend are mostly about avoiding crowds rather than joining them, the daytime hours carry more foot traffic than the evenings, when much of the audience has already funneled into ticketed areas.

Planning Around a Weekend That's Grown Every Year

None of this means Silobration has become something to dodge. It means the shape of the weekend has changed enough, four days instead of three, a Sunday morning that used to belong entirely to the neighborhood, that the old assumptions about which mornings are quiet and which streets stay clear need a small update this October. The event has grown from roughly 80 vendors and a three-day run in 2025 to more than 90 vendors and a four-day run in 2026, and Sunday is the piece of that growth that changes a resident's calendar rather than just a visitor's.

If you're deciding when to run errands, grab a walk, or just want a read on the block before you head out that weekend, the mornings of October 22 through 24 will look like Silobrations past. Sunday the 25th is the one morning this year that won't.

Kelly Realtors Commercial keeps a close watch on what draws people downtown, from a four-day Silobration weekend to the ordinary Tuesday foot traffic along Webster and Franklin.
